London – Fu Manchu (Clapham North)

A dim sum, cocktail bar which becomes a night club in the evening.

I came across this great little restaurant called Fu Manchu, Clapham North, on the internet one day. A great location just off of Clapham High Street, inside a re-designed railway arch (you can even hear the trains running over the restaurant).

Dim sum is the perfect little bit sized Japanese styled foods – perfect for a light dinner.

I was surprised by the great list of different cocktails and even better…. 2 for 1 cocktails between 5pm – 7pm.

I arrived at around 6:45pm and it was fairly empty (which is good if you haven’t booked) but I have to say that the service wasn’t particularly great for having only about 1/4 of the tables full.  However, the food and cocktails were great and I am sure later on in the evening there is a great atmosphere.

Definitely recommend this place for a great ‘hidden’ restaurant in Clapham.
