So, I haven’t been posting a lot in the last couple of weeks due to moving down to London and starting a new job!!!
I had a lot to pack and had to sort out my room. I have also just come back from Barcelona (ole) from a long weekend by the lovely beach (blog coming soon)!!
However, I thought I would pop up a quick blog about a little place in Hackney (Stratford) called Here East.
Stratford (hackney) is located in North East London, made famous in the last four years for being home to the London, Olympics 2012.
Hackney is an awesome area to find the best restaurants, shops, pubs and a great café scene.
It is often an area which is overlooked by tourists due to being slightly out of the way of central London, but it is definitely a great place to go and see.
Hackney Wick, is the best tube stop to get to these awesome places but you can also go to Stratford International (where you can also find a Westfield shopping centre) which is on the central line and take a little walk over.
Some of best restaurants in the area are:
- Pacific Social Club
- Breakfast Club
- 90 Main Yard
And many more.
Here East, the old broadcast centre for the Olympics, is a new development which is located close to the canal just slightly North of the picture below.
They now fitted out the old broadcast centre to fit in thousands of sq ft of new offices and new retail spaces that will definitely become the new hub to hang out in.
Check out there website here.
I went down last week to check it out and see some of my photos from my visit below 🙂
Let me know if you have any questions about the area or how to get there.
Don’t forget to follow my blog for new updates on where to go out in London.
